    From where toothpastes arrived

Toothpaste traces it history back to 500 BC. It was used by Greeks and Romans in different forms. But the interesting thing to note is that the ingredients which were used thousands of years ago are somehow still used in modern toothpastes and mouthwash products. Today, there exist thousands of companies which are into toothpaste manufacturing business. The only difference between the older and newer toothpastes is its color, flavor and manufacturing techniques. They are more enhanced and tasty in comparison with older toothpastes. But still you can see a number of natural toothpastes which are much more efficient than typical market toothpastes.

The interesting thing about the history of toothpastes is that they are recorded in history before the invention of toothbrush. It is not known yet that how people used to apply paste on their teeth. According to many suggestions and historians, Egyptians are said to be the first who used toothpaste for the purpose of cleaning their teeth. Similarly, people used to adopt various ways and techniques in order to avoid bad odor from their mouth. For example, goat’s milk is still used to avoid bad breath. Similarly, baking soda is still a very common and popular ingredient in natural toothpastes.

Furthermore, tortoise’s blood was also used traditionally in older times to remove any sort of toothaches. Modern toothpastes are said to trace their history from 19th century. First toothpaste was launched or introduced by a dentist in 1824. With the passage of time, advancement and development was made in the field of oral hygiene maintenance and toothpastes. Consequently, various ingredients and chemical combinations were discovered which assisted in enhancing the quality of toothpastes. Similarly, electronics gave birth to electric toothbrush which helps in brushing your teeth more effectively. Electric toothbrushes are able to reach deeper regions of your mouth where a typical manual toothbrush hardly reaches.
